Dynamic FS on Site at Wigan & Leigh College with £412,000 Fire & Security Installation
Dynamic FS was awarded a major fire and security contract at Wigan & Leigh College in December 2025, with a total project value of £412,000. Now well underway and progressing ahead of schedule, the project represents one of the most substantial and complex installations in our portfolio to date — and a clear demonstration of our capability to deliver large-scale, multi-disciplined life safety systems within a live educational environment.
A Large-Scale, Fully Integrated Installation
The scope of works covers the complete design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of fire and security systems throughout the college campus:
- Category L2 fire alarm system, fully designed and installed to BS 5839-1:2025
- CCTV system across the campus for enhanced site monitoring and security
- Access control system covering 145 doors across key areas of the building
- Disabled refuge system to support safe emergency evacuation procedures
- Intruder alarm system for robust out-of-hours protection
- Full testing, commissioning, certification, and client handover
Progressing Ahead of Schedule
After two months on site, the project is tracking ahead of programme — a result of close collaboration with the college’s estates and facilities team, efficient on-site coordination, and meticulous sequencing of works across what is a large and complex building.
All works are being carried out within a fully live college environment, with careful management of access, noise, and disruption in line with site-specific risk assessments and induction requirements. Our team works within the rhythms of the college day, adapting the programme around timetabled activities to ensure that staff and students experience the minimum possible impact.
Delivering at Scale
Wigan & Leigh College represents an important milestone for Dynamic FS — a project that showcases the full breadth of our fire and security capability, from initial design through to the integration and commissioning of multiple interconnected systems across a major educational campus. We look forward to completing the works to the same high standard and handing over a system the college can rely on for years to come.
